Q: Where are you from originally?
A: Macon, GA. 

Q: Where did you go to school?
A: Nashville State Community College. 

Q: Do you have any children or pets?
A: 4 children, 2 dogs. 

Q: What are your favorite activities or hobbies?
A: My wife of 20 years and our four children are the greatest joys of my life. We stay active and busy, participating in youth sports, our church, school activities, and many aspects of family and community life. We love spending time outdoors, traveling, and simply being together—whether it’s working on projects, playing games, or going for hikes. 

Q: What is one thing you have on your bucket list?
A: Driving an old Land Cruiser from my home in Tennessee down through Central and South America. 

Q: What is one fun fact people don’t know about you?
A: I have a deep passion for working on and adventuring in our family’s Toyota Land Cruisers, whether it’s rebuilding an engine, maintaining a newer model, or taking them off the beaten path to cross rivers, tackle mud holes, and climb rocks. These experiences give me a real appreciation for the craftsmanship and engineering that Toyota has brought to the market. I would choose to drive my rusty but reliable old Land Cruiser over any new car, any day! Additionally, I’m actively involved in my local club, where we organize events throughout the year to support charities like the Fisher House Foundation.

Q: What technologies have you worked with or enjoyed working with?
A: Over the years, I’ve worked with a variety of technologies and healthcare standards, but recently, I’ve returned to C# and Azure. In the application of technology, I’m particularly passionate about HL7 FHIR and the way it’s pushing the boundaries of innovation in the healthcare industry.
